Bloom with Psychology

Facilitating Safe Spaces for Psycho-Education to Support Well-being Journeys

Meet Leah

About Bloom with Psychology

Bloom with Psychology was born out of an internal call to action for the mental health disparities I observed in my borough. Many individuals and families were struggling with limited access to mental health resources, a lack of understanding about mental health issues, with valid trust issues and stigma-related issues surrounding these challenges. In response, I initiated a series of community talks linked in with charity organisations aimed at raising awareness, providing accurate information and fostering a supportive environment for those in need once I became qualified and experienced to do so.

A personal and reflective business, supporting the creation of spaces for psycho-education to improve mental health through a scientific and holistic lens. Bloom with Psychology aims to increase access and engagement to mental wellbeing resources within the individual, one’s community and working environments. Services offered are culturally-sensitive and tailored to meet the needs of your audience, with an understanding of the cutting-edge research literature, social and economical influences on health and resource development for well-being.

I can help with:

Stress & Anxiety

Feeling stressed out and/or anxious can be an overwhelming experience, but it doesn't have to control your life. As a mental health professional, I can help you develop effective skills and strategies to manage your relationship with anxiety. Together, we can work towards a more peaceful and fulfilling quality of life.

Depression

Depression involves experiences such as low mood, energy and little to no interest in things once enjoyed. It can feel isolating and affect daily life in various ways, ranging in intensity. Let me support you to prioritise your mental health and create ways to add add excitement, joy, and purpose back into your life.

Trauma

Traumatic experiences can have a lasting impact on various areas of life, but it is not all you are or your identity.

Our trauma-informed care can help you process and recover from traumatic experiences. Stress is a natural part of life, but chronic stress can have a negative impact on mental health. Our mindfulness-based stress reduction services can help you develop the skills to manage stress and improve your overall wellbeing.

Mindfulness & Managing Intense Emotions

Psychology has embraced one of Buddhism's most integral practice of mindfulness to help individuals improve problem-solving skills and manage intense emotions in a more adaptable manner. Mindfulness doesn't change our experiences, but can transform how we relate to them. Contributing to cultivating a more compassionate mindset, you can learn how to better respond, as opposed to react to pain and distress.

Resilience & Assertiveness

Emotional resiliency provides the skill to adapt to stressful situations and navigate life's rise and falls. Although resiliency doesn't eliminate stress or remove life's challenges, it empowers you to address or accept difficulties, endure adversity and continue moving forward in life.

Assertiveness enables you to express yourself clearly and advocate for your perspective and needs, all while honouring the rights and beliefs of others. By being assertive, you can enhance your self-esteem and gain the respect of others, contributing to better stress management.

Compassion

“If your compassion does not include yourself, it is incomplete” – Buddha

Self-compassion is a skill that can allow you treat yourself with the same kindness and understanding that you show to others. I can share with you tools to help practice acceptance and self-compassion, to learn to be more patient and forgiving with yourself, which can lead to a healthier foundation to bloom a greater quality of life.

Hope & Purpose

Supporting hope and purpose in others involves a multifaceted approach that involves understanding, empathy, practical support and strategies to promote a sense of community and self-worth in a manner that feels meaningful and true to your values.

Allow me to support you in making a significant difference in their journey toward better mental health and well-being.

Testimonials

“In total we had over 120 team members attend the sessions and the team were more challenged and inspired by both of you. The office culture is driven by targets and the timing for a new perspectives is now. We received lots of great feedback. You both have a way of transcending age, race and nationality.
